32th IPMA World Congress

Dear colleagues!

Due to the situation with COVID-19, the IPMA Board and the Organizing Committee of the Congress decided to postpone the 32nd IPMA World Congress to the next year. The 32nd IPMA World Congress will be held from 21 to 23 September 2021 in St. Petersburg!

 

The event is organized by the Project Management Association "SOVNET", the Analytical Center for the Government of the Russian Federation, Win Business Solutions, with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation.

The IPMA World Congress will be the largest event in the world of professional project management in Russia. More than 900 professionals from more than 70 countries of the world will take part in its work, including the world's leading experts in project management, professionals from various industries, heads of global companies, business representatives, NGOs, the media, as well as scientists, students, teachers.

The theme of the 32nd IPMA Congress is Project Management in the Digital Transformation Era.

The influence of the digital economy on project management and the projects themselves is currently very large and will most likely grow even more in the future. What is the role of project management in the digital age? What methods and tools will be relevant and what will change? These and other issues will be in the focus of attention of the Congress participants.

Among the key speakers of the Congress:

Reinhard Wagner, former President of IPMA and Chairman of the Board, Honorary Chairman of the GPM (German Project Management Association), Managing Director of Tiba Managementberatung GmbH.

Tanaka Hiroshi, founder and first president of the Project Management Association of Japan (PMAJ), co-author of the P2M methodology, formerly a top manager of the JGC Corporation.

Ding Ronggui, Professor and Director of the Project Management Center at Shandong University, M.E., B.Sc., Member of the IPMA Awards Committee.

Konstantin Noskov, Head of the Supervisory Board, Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation

The business program of the Congress will include 3 plenary sessions.

The IPMA World Congress is the largest meeting place for the international community of project managers, which has been regularly held in different countries of the world since 1967. For decades it has been a leading event in project, program and portfolio management. Russia is becoming the venue for this large-scale event for the second time. In 2003, the 17th World Congress on Project Management "Project-Oriented Business and Society" was successfully held in Moscow. In 2021, the event will be held in the cultural center of Russia, in the city of St. Petersburg. In 2022, Tokyo will take over from Russia.
